As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team delivering the traffic engineering programme in Islington, carrying out design, estimation, project management and site supervision of a range of schemes including public realm, cycleway, livable neighbourhood and general traffic schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Design, estimation, project management and site supervision of a range of traffic schemes.
- Line manager responsibilities of junior staff.
- Regularly liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including other council departments, contractors, utility companies, developers, police, members of the public and other organisations as needed.
- Work closely with the term maintenance contractor to deliver a successful borough-wide programme of high-profile schemes.
- Support the Traffic Manager and Principal Engineers in delivering Islington Council’s Traffic and Engineering programme.

- Overseas criminal record check (if applicable)
- Satisfactory references
- Occupational Health clearance
- Evidence of professional qualifications or registrations
- DBS check at the appropriate level (if applicable)
