Irwin and Colton have been engaged to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor for a leading Tier 1 Principal Contractor, delivering major construction and engineering projects across London and the Southeast. The organisation is renowned for its technical excellence, long‑term project pipeline and strong commitment to sustainability and innovation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a foundation in health and safety who’s eager to learn, develop, and progress their career. The role covers a regional area and will include regular travel.

• Visit site, provide advice on health, safety and fire‑related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards
• Conducting accident and incident investigations, preparing accurate reports
• Undertaking audits and inspections across multiple sites, identifying areas for improvement
• Supporting the rollout of key safety initiatives across the organisation
• Delivering training on major risk topics, safe working practices and organisational life‑saving rules

• Experience in a similar health and safety role ideally from within construction or a related high‑risk industry
• Understanding of UK regulations (LOLER, Work at Height, CDM, Asbestos, Manual Handling, COSHH, etc.)
• NEBOSH Certificate, ideally hold or working towards NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent
