Gleeds is seeking experienced Commercial Managers to join our expanding team supporting the delivery of nuclear new‑build projects that will power Britain’s sustainable future. These landmark developments are central to the UK’s energy independence, economic growth, and transition towards a more sustainable, low‑carbon future.
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing the development and implementation of new procurement systems and defining source of contract within the programme.
Your day‑to‑day might involve:- Support with the end‑to‑end implementation of procurement platforms.
- Conduct system diagnostics, requirement mapping and configuration sessions with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage system workflows, approval chains, catalogues, supplier onboarding, and integration points.
- Support the development of internal methodologies, templates and best‑practice toolkits.
- Support in defining source of contract within the programme.
- Relevant experience in procurement system implementation, ideally in the Nuclear / Civil engineering / Engineering (Including Service Contracting) sectors.
- Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost and Commercial Management – ideally both pre and post contract.
- Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some cases applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered if there is significant on‑the‑job experience.
- Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attained.
