Location: City Of London

We are currently seeking an experienced BIM Technician to join a leading M&E Engineering company supporting works on the HS2 project in Birmingham. Based out of our London office, the successful candidate will play a key role in the production, coordination, and management of BIM models and technical drawings for large-scale infrastructure and rail projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects within a fast-paced and collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and develop coordinated 3D BIM models for mechanical and electrical building services
  • Create detailed technical drawings and layouts using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Support project teams with BIM coordination and clash detection processes
  • Work closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accurate model delivery
  • Ensure BIM deliverables meet project specifications, client standards, and HS2 requirements
  • Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings
  • Maintain accurate model documentation and drawing registers
  • Assist with model updates throughout project lifecycle stages
  • Ensure compliance with BIM Level 2 standards and company procedures
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a BIM Technician within M&E Building Services
  • Strong proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
  • Experience working on large-scale construction, rail, infrastructure, or commercial projects
  • Understanding of BIM workflows, standards, and coordination processes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable
  • Previous HS2, rail, or infrastructure project experience
  • Navisworks experience for clash detection and coordination
  • Understanding of BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 standards
  • Experience working within an M&E contractor or engineering consultancy environment
