Location: City of London

Salary: £47,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday (Shift Pattern: 7:00am - 4:00pm & 10:00am - 7:00pm)

Call‑Out: 1 in 4 Weeks (£100 Standby Allowance)

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join the on‑site engineering team within a prestigious corporate banking building in the City of London. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical building services across the site.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services
• Maintain and service plant equipment including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and associated mechanical systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a timely and efficient manner
• Support the wider engineering team to ensure building systems remain operational at all times
• Liaise with subcontractors and assist with overseeing specialist maintenance works
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation
• Participate in the 1 in 4 call‑out rota

• Recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services)
• Experience working within commercial building maintenance environments
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant
• Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance

• £47,000 basic salary
• Monday - Friday shifts (7am-4pm & 10am-7pm)
• 1 in 4 call‑out rota – £100 standby payment
