The Opportunity
As a Highway Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering detailed highway designs for a diverse portfolio of urban infrastructure projects. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will contribute technical expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and implementation.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-profile schemes including:

This varied workload provides exposure to challenging and rewarding projects across Central London and the wider UK, allowing you to build valuable technical expertise while making a real impact on the built environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Highway Engineer, you will:
· Produce detailed highway designs for urban infrastructure projects.
· Develop designs in accordance with DMRB, TfL Streetscape Guidance, LTN 1/20, LCDS, TSRGD and other relevant standards.
· Prepare high-quality AutoCAD drawings and design packages.
· Coordinate statutory undertaker utility diversion processes from initial searches through to implementation.
· Produce clear technical reports for clients and key stakeholders.
· Apply CDM 2015 principles within the design process.
· Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on programme and within budget.
· Contribute to innovative engineering solutions that improve communities and public spaces.
Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will ideally have:
· A relevant degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
· At least three years' experience within highways engineering.
· Experience producing highway designs using industry standards including DMRB, TfL Streetscape Guidance, LTN 1/20, LCDS and TSRGD.
· Strong AutoCAD design experience.
· Experience using Civil 3D.
· Good technical report writing and communication skills.
· Working knowledge of CDM 2015 requirements.
· The ability to manage your own workload while working collaboratively within a busy project team.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Dependent on experience
