The Opportunity
As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of detailed highway designs across a wide variety of urban infrastructure projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will provide technical leadership, oversee project delivery and contribute to the continued growth of the highways business.
You will be involved in every stage of project development, from feasibility studies and preliminary design through to detailed design, stakeholder engagement and construction support.

· Streetscape enhancement projects
· Traffic and transportation infrastructure
· Sustainable urban highway schemes
· Transport planning studies
Working on high-profile projects throughout Central London and across the UK, you will gain exposure to complex engineering challenges while helping deliver infrastructure that has a lasting positive impact on communities.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will:
· Lead the design and delivery of highways and public realm projects from concept through to implementation.
· Produce and review detailed highway designs in accordance with DMRB, TfL Streetscape Guidance, LTN 1/20, LCDS, TSRGD and other relevant industry standards.
· Prepare and review high-quality AutoCAD design packages and technical drawings.
· Manage statutory undertaker utility diversion processes from initial enquiries through to coordinated implementation.
· Produce and review technical reports for clients, local authorities and stakeholders.
· Apply CDM 2015 requirements throughout the design process.
· Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
· Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to develop technical capability across the team.
· Lead project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
· Contribute to business growth by maintaining excellent client relationships and supporting future opportunities.
Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will ideally have:
· A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
· Experience delivering highways engineering projects within a consultancy environment.
· Strong technical knowledge of DMRB, TfL Streetscape Guidance, LTN 1/20, LCDS, TSRGD and associated design standards.
· Advanced AutoCAD design experience with the ability to produce and review detailed engineering drawings.
· Working knowledge of Civil 3D
· Excellent report writing and technical communication skills.
