Monday to Friday | 08:00 - 17:00 (Flexible Start Times)

Our client, a leading global Facilities Management service provider, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Bias Engineer to join their team on a prestigious single-site contract in the heart of Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a long-term temporary position with the genuine possibility of securing a permanent role.

The Role

Working as part of the on‑site engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a commercial building. The successful candidate will ensure all mechanical systems operate efficiently while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a range of HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately.
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests.
  • Support the wider engineering team when required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements
  • City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Level 2 qualification.
  • L8 qualification/certification obtained within the last 3 years.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a commercial building environment.
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds Mechanical Level 3.
  • City & Guilds Electrical Qualification Level 2.
  • City & Guilds Electrical Qualification Level 3.
