Principal Civil Engineer - Water

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in London, Reading and High Wycombe. You will work on exciting water projects and make a big impact.

• Lead the civil engineering design for projects, managing the design lifecycle from asset planning and strategy to concept, outline and detailed design.
• Lead civil engineering teams and collaborate with overall project design leads to ensure successful project delivery and client outcomes.
• Work across water sector fields, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding and urban drainage.
• Deliver cutting‑edge design with support from Stantec’s world‑class expertise.
• Engage with clients regularly, leading client engagement and collaboration.

• Experience as a Civil Engineer on water, environment or related infrastructure projects.
• Chartered or Incorporated member status with ICE, CIWEM or a relevant professional body is desirable.
• Strong track record of successful project delivery and innovative solutions.
• Ability to develop and mentor developing civil engineers.
• Excellent client‑facing and collaborative skills.
