Role Overview
As a Principal Water Network Modeller at Stantec, you will provide technical leadership across a broad range of water network modelling projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high‑quality solutions for our clients. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee technical governance, and drive innovation across our modelling capability.
Responsibilities- Lead projects focused on network optimisation, leakage and pressure management, network rehabilitation, smart network operations and long‑term investment planning.
- Contribute to business development activities, support project planning and mentor engineers across the team.
- Drive innovation across the modelling capability, ensuring technical governance and delivery excellence.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience delivering water network modelling projects.
- Strong knowledge of industry‑standard modelling software such as Info Works WS Pro, Info Water Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent.
- Experience leading technical delivery across complex modelling programmes.
- Strong understanding of network optimisation, leakage management and pressure management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing technical teams.
- Desirable Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
- Experience using GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.
- Experience with advanced data analytics, water balance studies or digital solutions.
- Experience working on UK regulated water company frameworks.
