Position: Technical Assurance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical/Public Health)
Location: City of Westminster

Overview

The Mechanical Electrical Public Health (MEP) TA Engineer will lead Technical Assurance delivery for MEP disciplines on the HS2 London Tunnels Contract, reporting to the MEP Technical Assurance Manager. The SCS JV (Skanska | Costain | STRABAG) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract, which includes twin‑bored tunnels, SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure TA requirements are prioritized during planning and delivery of installation or testing & commissioning activities.
  • Support MEP delivery and subcontractor teams with preparation and review of TA certification documentation to meet project and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with delivery teams and subject‑matter experts to define applicable MEP system requirements and identify verification and validation evidence.
  • Identify and decompose new and existing requirements.
  • Monitor progress of TA deliverables and feed progress into programme management.
  • Assist in maintaining configuration control for changes imposed on the project.
  • Contribute to Technical Assurance activities required to achieve the MEP Single Assurance Pack.
Qualifications
  • Formal education:
    Degree or HND in Engineering or Construction related subject, or equivalent work‑related experience such as an approved apprenticeship.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
  • Exposure or interest in Systems Engineering and Technical Assurance.
  • Experience with in MEP or Rail sectors.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools, particularly IBM Rational DOORS.
