Responsibilities- Lead delivery of highways, streetscape and public realm projects from concept through to construction.
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across multiple design teams.
- Develop highway designs in accordance with DMRB, TfL Streetscape Guidance, LTN 1/20, LCDS, TSRGD and other relevant standards.
- Manage project programmes, resources and technical outputs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop engineers across the team.
- Oversee statutory undertaker coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and industry best practice.
- Identify innovative engineering solutions that deliver value for clients.
- Support the continued growth and technical excellence of the highways business.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Extensive highways design experience within a consultancy environment.
- Excellent technical knowledge of highways design standards.
- Strong project leadership and coordination experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent client‑facing and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
- Strong commercial awareness and project management skills.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or working towards professional accreditation.
Salary: £60,000 – £67,000 per year, dependent on experience.
