Highways Inspector – Contract Position (London)

An opportunity has arisen for a Highways Inspector to join a client in London. Your main duties include undertaking highway safety and routine highway maintenance inspections across the area, ensuring repair and reinstatement works on the public highway are carried out in accordance with the NRSWA 1991, dealing with complaints from the public and liaising with stakeholders and other relevant parties to ensure smooth flow of traffic across the network.

Contract type:
Full-time. Rate: £30-£32 per hour + expenses, negotiable depending on experience. Flexible working arrangements are available.

• Carrying out highway inspections (routine, cyclical and emergency) across the area.
• Investigating licensing issues such as hoards, skips and scaffolds.
• Ensuring all repair and reinstatement works are compliant with legislation, including NRSWA 1991.
• Liaising with members of the public, stakeholders, emergency services and contractors.

• Previous experience in Highways and Streetworks is essential.
