Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next challenge within the public sector? We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a busy Building Services & Maintenance team, delivering safe, compliant, and sustainable electrical engineering solutions across a diverse property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of modern, low‑carbon electrical systems while ensuring statutory compliance and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Design and review electrical engineering solutions across a varied property portfolio.
- Produce feasibility studies, condition surveys, technical reports and specifications.
- Prepare and manage CAD drawings.
- Act as Contract Administrator, carrying out site inspections and monitoring contractor performance.
- Diagnose defects and develop practical, cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Provide technical advice on electrical compliance, regulations and industry best practice.
- Monitor project progress, budgets and contractor performance against agreed KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
- Support the delivery of energy‑efficient, sustainable and low‑carbon electrical systems.
- Experience in electrical building services engineering, electrical design and specification, building maintenance and property services.
- Contract administration, site inspections and quality assurance.
- Electrical compliance and statutory regulations.
- CAD drawing production and contractor management.
- Delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience working within local government, housing, healthcare, education or commercial property environments is advantageous and knowledge of sustainable and low‑carbon building design.
