Mechanical / HVAC Engineer | Shoreditch | £47,500 | Monday-Friday | Commercial Building

Alice Rose Recruitment is working with a leading Building Services provider to recruit a Mechanical / HVAC Engineer for a landmark commercial development in Shoreditch.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team, working on a prestigious commercial building with exposure to a wide range of mechanical and HVAC plant. The business is known for investing in its engineers and offers genuine long-term career progression.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and fault finding across a modern commercial building, ensuring all mechanical and HVAC systems operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Respond to reactive maintenance and fault finding
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems
  • Service chillers, split systems and associated plant
  • Carry out maintenance on AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors
  • Monitor BMS alarms and investigate faults
  • Complete maintenance reports and logbooks
  • Escort specialist subcontractors when required
  • Ensure statutory compliance and health & safety standards are maintained
  • Deliver a high standard of service to the client
Requirements
  • Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3)
  • Valid F-Gas Certification
  • Strong background in commercial building services maintenance
  • Experience maintaining chillers, split systems and HVAC plant
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Client-facing communication skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to work as part of a team
