Civil Engineering, Structural Engineer
A rare chance to launch your career with one of the UK’s standout private consultancies — ICE-approved training, real project variety from day one, and a clear path to chartership.
The Opportunity:We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading privately owned engineering consultancies, which is expanding on the back of a strong, healthy forward workload.
This is not a “watch from the sidelines” graduate scheme. You will be thrown into live commercial, retail, residential and industrial projects working under the direct supervision of highly experienced directors, alongside dedicated engineers and technicians who want to see you progress.
Whether you have just graduated or already have some relevant post‑graduate experience, this is the kind of platform ambitious structural engineers look for: variety, mentorship, professional status, and the chance to make a visible impact on the built environment.
Why This Role Stands Out:- ICE-approved training agreement with a structured pathway to chartered membership of a professional engineering institution.
- Genuine project exposure across commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors — not a single-client, single-typology grind.
- Direct access to directors and a close-knit team of engineers and technicians who invest in developing graduates.
- Progression with pace — as you grow, you can expect to be active on multiple projects and clients at any one time.
- A people‑first culture that is serious about inclusion, respect and building a more diverse future for the profession
- Undertake engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural and civil engineering projects.
- Get hands‑on with industry‑standard technical analysis and design software.
- Produce clear technical reports and support client‑facing presentations.

- Liaise professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers — offering sound advice on your work.
- Deliver work to agreed project budgets and programmes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (or a closely related discipline with a strong structural focus).
- A recent graduate or an early‑career engineer with relevant post‑graduate experience.
- Confidence (or a hunger to build it) with technical analysis and design software.
Clear written and verbal communication — you will be in rooms with clients and contractors.
- Drive, curiosity and the ambition to work towards chartership.
- Competitive salary plus an excellent flexible benefits package
- ICE-approved training and a funded pathway towards chartership
- Comprehensive training opportunities and reimbursement of professional fees
- Contributory pension, personal healthcare plan and life insurance
