Senior Public Health Design Engineer

London (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

A well-established and growing MEP consultancy based in Southwark is looking to appoint a Senior Public Health Design Engineer to support continued expansion across a diverse project portfolio.

The practice delivers projects across the full RIBA Plan of Work (Stages 0-7) and works on a broad mix of sectors including Hotels, Residential (high-end and multi-unit), Commercial offices, and mixed-use developments. With ambitious growth plans to increase the team by 10 people over the next two years, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for genuine progression.

• Lead the public health design on your own projects across all RIBA stages
• Produce detailed designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical and BIM teams
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Oversee junior engineers where required
• Manage your own workload and programme delivery autonomously

This is a role for someone confident taking ownership. Technically strong, commercially aware, and comfortable representing the discipline within multidisciplinary teams.

• In-depth knowledge of Public Health design within building services
• Proven experience working as a Design Engineer in a UK-based MEP consultancy
• Strong understanding of UK regulations, standards and best practice
• Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
• Ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously
• Strong coordination and communication skills
