The firm is a long established property and construction consultancy in central London where engineering sits alongside architecture, project management and cost consultancy under one roof. The workload covers residential, commercial, hotels, education and public sector schemes, much of it repeat business from clients who stay because the joined up approach works.

You would run structural packages within that mix: analysis and design, existing building appraisals, coordination across the in house disciplines, and site inspections that keep the drawings honest. Because the architect is a desk away rather than an email address, design conversations happen at the speed of walking.

You will need a structural or civil degree, a few years of consultancy experience, and the collaborative instincts to make use of the people around you. Chartership support is established and the multidisciplinary caseload gives your reviewers everything they ask for.

Salary is between £43,000 and £55,000, with your place in the band decided by how much of a project you can already carry unaided.
