Position: grow your structural engineering career
You have a few years of structural design experience under your belt and you are ready for projects with more variety and more responsibility, not just more of the same reinforced concrete details.

This consultancy is a well established structural and civil engineering practice based in central London, working across residential, education, workplace and public realm projects for a mix of developers, architects and public sector clients. The team is known for thoughtful, efficient design and a genuinely collaborative way of working with architects from concept through to construction, and for giving engineers real ownership of their schemes rather than keeping design decisions with the most senior people in the room.

If you are currently doing solid technical work but rarely get to speak to the client, sit in design meetings, or see a scheme through from sketch to site, that is the gap this role closes. You will take on your own portfolio of projects, working directly with architects and clients, developing structural schemes in steel, concrete and timber, and mentoring more junior engineers as you go.

Day to day this means running your own workload, coordinating with other disciplines, and having a genuine say in how a scheme is engineered rather than simply checking someone else's calculations. There is a clear path towards chartership and further progression for the right person, with support built in rather than left to chance.

Salary is between 43,000 and 55,000, depending on experience.
