Earthworks Examiners - Network Rail Experience Required
York - £427/day
London - £446/day
We are looking for experienced Earthworks Examiners / Geotechnical professionals to support the delivery of Earthwork Examinations across the rail network.
The role will involve planning, managing and undertaking Earthwork Examinations in accordance with /L3/CIV/065 - Examination of Earthworks Manual.
Key responsibilities include:- Undertaking desk-based site reconnaissance to establish appropriate access strategies for Earthwork Examinations
- Liaising with Access Planning teams to finalise access arrangements, logistics and Safe Work Packs
- Planning access opportunities, possessions and worksites and identifying opportunities for integration
- Undertaking and completing Earthwork Examinations in accordance with /L3/CIV/065
- Completing on-site activities safely and efficiently in accordance with Safe Systems of Work, method statements and relevant Network Rail standards
- Accurately recording completed and outstanding work
- Closing out rejected examinations and responding to examination feedback
- Supporting the wider Geotechnical Examination Team with delivery requirements
- COSS or IWA competency allowing you to work on the operational railway
- Previously assessed to Network Rail Level 3 Soil Slope Examinations (GEO-I-S)
- Previously assessed to Network Rail Level 3 Rock Slope Examinations (GEO-I-R)
- Experience using the JBA database and Giz Mapp
- Proven experience producing high-quality Earthwork Examinations to CIV/065 standard
York: £427 per day
London: £446 per day
This opportunity is particularly suited to experienced Network Rail Earthworks Examiners / Geotechnical Asset Engineers who already hold the required competencies and can operate effectively within the railway environment.
