HVAC Air Conditioning Project Manager

£55,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience

London

Full-time, permanent

A comfortable office starts long before anyone moves in. It starts with the right heating and cooling system, careful planning and someone who keeps the project moving.

This HVAC Project Manager opportunity is with a specialist business developing compact, water-based heating and cooling systems for commercial buildings. Its products combine six components in one unit, helping to reduce energy use, free up ceiling space and make installation simpler.

For an HVAC Project Manager who enjoys understanding the equipment as well as managing its delivery, there is plenty here to get involved in.

You will work with engineers, building services consultants and mechanical contractors to take projects from agreed requirements through to delivery and handover. As HVAC Project Manager, you will keep customers informed, coordinate technical details and deal with issues before they hold up work on site.

The appeal is being close to both the product and the people using it. You will join a team of engineers and technical specialists whose heating and cooling systems are already used in offices and hotels.

The role
  • Plan project programmes and track progress.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and site requirements.
  • Work with consultants, contractors and technical teams.
  • Monitor costs, changes and project documentation.
  • Support installation queries, commissioning and handover.

You may already be an HVAC Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager or Air Conditioning Project Manager. A Project Engineer with experience coordinating building services projects could also suit the position.

You will need a sound understanding of HVAC systems, clear communication and the ability to keep several projects organised. Experience with fan coil units, chilled water systems, heating and cooling, or BMS controls would be useful.

If you enjoy seeing a project through and want to work more closely with the technology going into the building, this HVAC Project Manager role is worth a conversation.
