Senior Technician, Technicians, Operations, Producing and Event Delivery

Responsible for:
Production Manager

This role will be part of BAC's Production & Technical Team
. It may be expected to contribute to a range of work streams, but the role will primarily lead on all our Technical work as set out below.

The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering the technical and production requirements for hires, events and artistic programming across Battersea Arts Centre. Working closely with the Senior Production Manager, Head of Production & Technical and technical teams, they will lead the planning and delivery of projects of varying scale, ensuring the effective deployment of resources, clear communication between stakeholders and high standards of technical and production delivery.

The role is responsible for production coordination, scheduling, budgeting, health and safety compliance, and the management of freelance and in house technical resources. As a hands‑on member of the Production & Technical team, the Production Manager will also contribute to the practical delivery of productions and events, applying technical skills across BAC's venues to help ensure all activity is delivered safely, smoothly and to an exceptional standard.

The culture at BAC is a collaborative and open one. We work in an open plan space with no closed private offices and frequently work across teams and roles. We are lucky to have an outdoor terrace adjoined to the office which is particularly nice in the summer months. There's a good culture of people taking lunch breaks away from desks and two equipped kitchen and eating areas where the team tend to spend their down time.

We organise regular social events and things can get competitive at our annual sports day and Christmas quiz. Though to be clear, spectating is respected as much as taking part here at BAC!
