We're working with a leading live events production company that is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in live events who enjoys managing projects from concept through to delivery. Whether you're an experienced Project Manager or a senior technician/engineer looking to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll work on a variety of exciting events across some of London's most iconic venues, collaborating with clients, production teams, technicians, and suppliers to deliver exceptional event experiences.
The Role
As Technical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, quoting, managing, and delivering live event projects on time and within budget.
You'll act as the key link between clients, production, operations, and technical teams, ensuring every event runs smoothly from initial planning through to on-site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management
Develop technical solutions and quotations for live events.
Create equipment lists, technical specifications, and event documentation.
Coordinate with production, operations, warehouse, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project budgets and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
Prepare health & safety documentation, including RAMS where required.
Act as the main point of contact for project changes and additional requirements.
Event Delivery
Brief technical crews and freelance technicians.
Manage on-site builds and event delivery.
Oversee technical equipment and crew on-site.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients and venues.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Experience working in a technical role within the live events industry.
Strong knowledge of event technology, including audio, video and lighting.
Confidence creating technical equipment lists across at least two disciplines.
Experience delivering conferences, corporate events, exhibitions, private events, or similar projects.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good understanding of event health & safety requirements.
