What’s the role?

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance team by managing Accounts Receivable processes. It’s a varied role requiring accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform income audits to ensure all revenue is accurately recorded, including auditing discounts and negative postings.
  • Ownership of credit card reconciliations and monitoring chargeback queries.
  • Manage cash handling processes and maintain compliance with internal controls.
  • Maintain and ensure that all the Hotel commission claims/invoices are thoroughly checked and processed for payment on a weekly basis.
  • Review Paymasters and Open Folios daily and manage F&B no-show and deposit processes, liaising with Front Desk.
  • Support smooth cash flow by managing petty cash disbursements and producing monthly orders.
  • Assist with weekly credit meetings and provide timely responses to AR queries within 48 hours.
  • Contribute to month-end success by supporting journals, reporting, and other finance tasks.
  • Take ownership of special projects and tasks as requested by your department head or Hotel management.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll be supporting managers and leadership teams across the business.
  • Your eye for detail and organisational skills will keep our numbers accurate and processes running smoothly.
  • Confidence with data and an analytical mindset will ensure every figure adds up.
  • Proactive and reliable, you can juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently, yet collaborative when it counts.
  • Tech‑savvy with strong Excel skills; experience with Micros, Opera, Elavon, Amex and Planet is a bonus.
