Location: City of Westminster

Overview

You'll play a key role in preparing accurate financial data, maintaining strong controls, and ensuring tight management of working capital — contributing directly to both divisional success and wider group investment. This is a highly visible role, partnering with the MD and senior leadership team to drive performance through clear, actionable financial reporting.

This is a full-time permanent role and will be mostly based from our office in Haydock, with occasional travel to Leicester.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the local MD and senior leadership team to deliver relevant management information.
  • Collaborate with finance and commercial teams across the group to ensure control compliance.
  • Manage working capital, including cashflow preparation, WIP control, and billing process improvements.
  • Maintain key tax control accounts and oversee payroll processes for finance sign‑off.
  • Lead and support divisional projects, such as system integrations and acquisition activity.
  • Ensure best practice controls are followed and continuously improved.
  • Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Act as a senior leader within the division, mentoring and supporting junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA professional.
  • Sharp analytical mind and forward‑thinking approach to data.
  • Genuine interest in the commercial side of finance and a creativity to solve problems and add value.
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills to gain buy‑in from stakeholders at all levels.
