Location: City of Westminster

The RELX Financial Planning & Analysis Department is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial information required by the CFO and CEO for the purposes of financial planning, management and control of RELX. The team are responsible for management reporting, planning and analysis of the financial performance at an overall group level., Reporting to the Group FP&A Senior Manager and collaborating closely with the RELX Group Financial Controller, you'll work with the finance teams of RELX's four business divisions and partner with Strategy, Investor Relations, Taxation, and Treasury to enhance financial performance across our global enterprise.

The role requires not just the compilation of financial data but driving analysis and insight to create effective dialogue about critical business issues.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyse submitted budgets and quarterly forecasts; prepare consolidated annual budgets and updates.
  • Manage functional cost reporting, including quarterly updates and forecasts.
  • Oversee financial process for the 3-year strategic plan in close collaboration with the RELX Corporate Strategy team.
  • Prepare and manage the monthly rolling forecast.
  • Evaluate returns on invested capital to support resource allocation and maximise value.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for external reporting requirements.
  • Build excellent working relationships with divisional finance teams and act as a key point of contact.
  • Collaborate with the Group Financial Reporting team to ensure accurate reflection of centrally managed items and key judgments.
Qualifications
  • Holds an exceptional academic background with a bachelor's degree or equivalent; fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or similar.
  • Brings experience from large international organisations or a Big 4 environment.
  • Demonstrates advanced analytical, Excel, and presentation skills, with commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels and thrives under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive, organised, and self‑motivated, with a logical approach to problem‑solving.
  • Familiar with Oracle and Smart View systems.
