A leading UK university is seeking an Interim Head of FP&A to provide senior financial leadership during a critical planning and reporting period. This is a high-impact role suited to an experienced FP&A leader who can quickly assess, stabilise, and enhance financial planning processes in a complex organisation.

You will lead the FP&A function, support executive decision-making, and ensure robust forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting across the institutionp>

• Lead institutional budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning

• Provide strategic financial insight to the Executive and senior academic leaders

• Strengthen FP&A processes, reporting frameworks, and financial models

• Deliver clear performance reporting and scenario analysis

• Partner with stakeholders across faculties and professional services

• Manage and support a high-performing FP&A team during transition

• Proven senior FP&A leadership experience in a large, complex organisation (HE or public sector desirable)

• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability

• Confident communicator at Executive level

• Able to deliver quickly in an interim, fast-moving environment

• Hands‑on, pragmatic, and solutions focused
