A prestigious global investment management firm is seeking a Funds Tax Analyst to join their expanding London-based tax team. This newly created position offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s international tax obligations for its diverse range of investment vehicles.

What you'll do:

As a Funds Tax Analyst, you will immerse yourself in a variety of challenging tasks that span international tax compliance, investor reporting, regulatory liaison work, project support for new market entry or fund launches, and cross-departmental collaboration. Your day-to-day activities will involve coordinating complex filings across multiple jurisdictions, preparing detailed reports for investors under both US and UK regimes, managing relationships with external advisors on key regulatory matters such as FATCA and CRS, assisting with technical reviews under ASC 740 standards, maintaining up-to-date policy documentation, reviewing contractual terms for investments, supporting entity launches within the group structure, handling correspondence with tax authorities, and working closely with other teams throughout the business.

Success in this role will come from your ability to manage competing priorities efficiently while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative approach that strengthens the overall effectiveness of the tax function.

  • Coordinate, review, and facilitate the filing or delivery of corporate and partnership tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Support the preparation and submission of US Schedule K-1 investor reporting as well as reportable income calculations and investor statements under the UK Reporting Fund regime.
  • Liaise effectively with fund administrators and external advisors to manage compliance and reporting requirements under FATCA, CRS, and Economic Substance regimes.
  • Assist with ASC 740 tax reviews for the group’s investment products while maintaining internal policies and framework documents to ensure robust governance.
  • Monitor international tax developments and contribute to various tax projects as directed by senior team members, including considerations for entering new markets or launching new funds.
  • Review tax terms for separately managed accounts (SMAs), direct investments, and investor side letters to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Support documentation processes for launching new entities within the group structure as well as ongoing requirements for existing entities, including correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Interact regularly with internal departments such as Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and HR to ensure seamless communication and effective resolution of cross-functional issues.
  • Participate in process improvements by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency in compliance workflows and contributing ideas during team discussions.
What you bring:

To excel as a Funds Tax Analyst in this organisation’s collaborative setting, you will bring proven experience gained from at least three years working within financial services taxation—ideally at a reputable professional services firm or similar industry context. Your recognised qualifications (such as ACA or CTA) underpin your technical expertise while your strong interpersonal skills foster effective connections across teams. You thrive when balancing multiple responsibilities thanks to your exceptional organisational capabilities;

  • At least three years’ relevant experience within a financial services tax team at a professional services firm or equivalent industry background is essential for this position.
