Group Financial Reporting Accountant - External Reporting

Overview

• Assist with the production of IFRS consolidated results for monthly management accounts and quarterly interim financial statements for external partners.
• Assist with the production of annual statutory accounts and detailed note workings, including developing sustainability disclosures and climate‑related scenario modelling.
• Support group cash‑flow production and local entity IFRS
  15 reporting, assessing revenue recognition and transitioning new acquisitions.
• Assist with significant M&A accounting activity and onboarding of new acquisitions to the group.
• Maintain process notes for monthly, quarterly and annual processes.
• Review capex budget submissions and produce the group capex budget pack.
• Respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests from Treasury, Tax, M&A and Divisional Finance.
• Produce timely and accurate reporting packs, detailed monthly consolidation reconciliations, and suggest process and system improvements.
• Co‑ordinate efficiently with business partners throughout the month‑end cycle.
• Deliver high‑quality outputs presented concisely and clearly.

• Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and relevant UK law.
• Prior experience of large multi‑currency group consolidation is a bonus.
• Experience in using One Stream or HFM, Unit4 or the ability to learn a reporting tool quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of deliverables.
• Strong planning skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Professional scepticism and a drive for producing high‑quality work.
• Problem‑solving capability.
• Effective interpersonal skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Index‑match, VLOOKUP) and data manipulation and analysis.
• Graduate level education (or equivalent).
• Qualified accountant with 2‑3 years PQE, ACA/CA(SA) or equivalent.
