At AIG, we reimagine the way we help customers manage risk. As a Senior Credit Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that Trade Credit credit risk guidelines are applied to the buyer portfolio to enable effective risk management and support profitability objectives.

• Perform credit reviews and ORR (grade) recommendations for large buyer portfolios with gross exposure of $5MM or greater.
• Establish and maintain aggregate limits within the Trade Credit appetite framework to support underwriting production targets.
• Review and rate Higher Risk and Watchlist buyers with exposures of $10MM or greater (ORR 6 and worse).
• Respond to underwriting ad‑hoc requests for credit limit review/approvals related to specific renewals and new business opportunities efficiently.
• Present risk assessment of existing and prospective large transactions to Regional and Global Credit Committees when buyer limits and aggregate limits trigger thresholds.
• Assist and guide Underwriters with new or renewal buyer portfolios, including buyer risk, policy structure and mitigation parameters.
• Initiate and participate in buyer calls or visits as needed to ascertain risk profile and appropriate appetite.
• Ensure ORR coverage for all buyer names with gross exposure of $5MM or greater and that all policyholders have an assigned ORR rating.
• Maintain ORR aging within AIG Credit Policy Guidelines and keep aggregate limits in date for all names with exposures of $5MM or greater.
• Record all approvals and save related supporting materials to the Trad Enable System (TES).
• Prepare monthly overdue exposure reports for the China book and update the Global Watch List and Focus List with recommended underwriting strategies.
• Respond to ad‑hoc exposure inquiries from Trade Credit or ERM Credit Management.
• Assist underwriters in conducting credit management reviews to evaluate the credit management strength of new business or renewal policyholders.
• Undertake periodic sector reviews as directed by the Chief Credit Officer or Regional Head of Credit.
• Enhance trade credit risk management practices and deliver training to local and global colleagues, including the India Shared Service team.

• Demonstrated credit risk analysis experience focusing on the Chinese corporate sector at international banks or credit rating agencies.
• Experience using leading market‑based credit risk portfolio techniques and tools.
• Strong understanding of trade credit policies, risk drivers and mitigation strategies.
• Working knowledge of trade and export products (receivables, confirmed payables, supply chain finance, guarantees, letters of credit, trade loans, etc.) from a credit risk analysis perspective.
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Project management ability and strong decision‑making skills.
• Capacity to manage time pressure, meet deadlines, and juggle competing tasks in a diverse portfolio.
• Team‑player who collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Business acumen and ability to thrive in a changing environment.
• Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, basic transactional modelling and forecasting.
• Competency in IT packages and institutional systems; knowledge of risk and portfolio management packages is desirable.
