Senior Credit Controller

Talbot Underwriting Services Ltd (TS1), an international reinsurer operating within the Lloyd’s market, is seeking a Senior Credit Controller to manage premium collections for Syndicate 1183 and ensure accurate record keeping of outstanding premium positions.

• Collect premium for Syndicate 1183
• Manage escalation process to ensure debt collection and query resolution
• Investigate and resolve queries with brokers to maintain accurate outstanding premium records
• Circulate broker statements and Notices of Cancellation where appropriate
• Liaise with the underwriting team to update records for amendments
• Raise and monitor query flow in Spectrum between relevant business areas
• Maintain local procedures and process notes for the Credit Control team
• Collect and produce activity tracking for the Credit Control team
• Establish professional relationships with internal and external partners to achieve premium payment targets in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Head of Credit Control to resolve issues and, where necessary, escalate matters

• Experience in a Credit Control department
• Good understanding of underwriting and underwriting operations
• Knowledge of Slips, endorsements, and closings
• Premium calculation from broker documentation
• Experience in underwriting processes, procedures, and compliance
• Familiarity with Lloyd’s operational processes and systems
• Understanding of Lloyd’s premium processes and market documentation
• Knowledge of Velonetic Lloyd’s Account Enquiry, Tracker and IMR Systems
• Computer literacy: MS Office, Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
• Knowledge of Lloyd’s market settlement process and bureau arrangements
