Head of Finance - Corporate​/R&D

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated, enthusiastic professional to work in a high‑profile role within the Finance Department of St George's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be the finance lead for the R&D and Corporate divisions, managing the financial services for the Trust’s executives and managers within Estates and Facilities, and for research and development in partnership with City St George's University.

The role includes management responsibility for the two divisional finance teams and provides day‑to‑day financial support to the Trust executive team on budgeting and planning.

St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group serves a population of four million people and includes major trauma and teaching hospital services.

• Lead the delivery of financial services across R&D and Corporate divisions.
• Develop, implement and communicate policies and frameworks to ensure consistent high‑quality financial support across the Trust.
• Direct, motivate and manage the finance teams, fostering their professional growth and collaboration with senior finance colleagues.

• Experience working within a complex and rapidly changing environment, preferably with NHS finances.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to engage effectively with executive directors, clinicians and staff at all levels.
