Compliance Business Partner Europe

Overview

Join Gallagher as a Compliance Business Partner based in London, supporting our European business. This is a 12-month fixed‑term contract, with the potential for the right candidate to apply for a permanent role at the end of the term. You’ll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance while helping our teams deliver exceptional service. Some limited travel across Europe may be required.

In this role, you’ll work closely with teams across Europe to provide expert compliance advice and guidance. You’ll help identify and manage compliance risks, ensuring we meet both regulatory requirements and professional standards. You’ll also lead compliance projects, monitor regulatory changes, and deliver training to build awareness and understanding.

Your work will include:

• Supporting the business in balancing compliance risks with commercial opportunities.
• Advising on compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Leading compliance work streams for business projects and mergers.
• Conducting research and providing insights on regulatory issues, with a focus on European regulators.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance.

You’re a confident communicator with a strong understanding of the insurance broking sector and European regulatory frameworks. You’re proactive, ethical, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll bring:

• Experience in compliance within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
• Previous experience interacting with European regulators.
• Knowledge of conduct risk and cross‑border regulatory considerations.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and Europe.
