Location: City of Westminster

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance and coaching to Research Assistants and Rating Analysts, building capability in credit, data discipline, and tooling, while reinforcing values‑led behaviours.
  • Drive consistency and scalability by codifying standard work and promoting disciplined adoption, strengthening trusted, repeatable insights.
  • Strengthen AI‑enabled productivity by creating reusable assets and proposing lightweight automations that free capacity for human analysis and relationship work.
  • Foster continuous improvement by proposing enhancements that remove manual steps without compromising governance or judgement.
  • Lead end‑to‑end execution for assigned credits, ensuring high‑quality analysis and timely delivery across priorities with clear accountability.
  • Own surveillance and updates for assigned portfolios, synthesising performance, market signals, and peer context into decision‑useful insights and clear risk implications.
  • Support embedding of LLM tools and automation, ensuring structured validation and analytical judgement to maintain trusted conclusions.
  • Operate alongside AI agents in recurring workflows, preparing and reviewing inputs, reconciling metrics, and documenting assumptions to ensure adherence to methodologies and standard operating procedures.
  • Support maintenance and review of models to ensure robustness, repeatability, and clear linkage to risk views.
  • Engage with external parties alongside senior team members, crafting client‑ and executive‑ready stories that translate complex data, analysis, and research into clear narratives.
  • Build trusted stakeholder relationships through emotional intelligence, collaboration, and adaptability.
  • Ensure adherence to methodology, confidentiality, and data governance, escalating issues early with options and recommendations.
  • Embed responsible, governed AI use, protected with approved tools and data, and drive controlled automation/agentic workflows by contributing to design requirements and supporting testing, rollout, and training.
Qualifications
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience on the Credit Ratings team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required;
    Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) highly valued.
  • Specialized experience in ABS, RMBS, and Corporate Securitisations, with demonstrated ability to influence and advise junior colleagues.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, able to make decisions within defined parameters and advise on complex issues.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship‑management skills, capable of influencing through credibility and constructive challenge.
  • Coaching experience to improve team consistency through shared standards and tools.
  • Continuous‑improvement mindset and AI fluency with judgment.
  • Strong credit, financial, and risk analysis expertise linking drivers to forward‑looking views and risk appetite.
  • Willingness to learn and use data and automation tools to facilitate AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, able to present research and analysis in a clear, structured way to support informed decision‑making.
  • High standards for quality, traceability, and governance; operating effectively in controlled environments.
  • Sound judgment on responsible AI use and ability to contribute to scalable automation and agent workflows.
