This is an entry level opportunity on the Tullet Prebon Forward Euro desk. It provides on‑the‑job training and exposure to fast-paced financial markets. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team, with a view to starting a career in Financial Services.
Responsibilities- Promote TP ICAP Group branding.
- Provide complete support to brokers for the smooth running of the desk.
- Input trades into trading systems in a timely manner.
- Resolve trade queries from internal and external sources and rectify trade discrepancies promptly.
- Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.
- Keep trade records up to date.
- Update real-time manual or electronic whiteboards with market data.
- Contribute to various projects for brokers and traders.
- Provide daily trade details to brokers and traders.
- Provide live quotes to traders via messaging systems.
- Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
- Understand underlying products traded and stay current with new products and procedures.
- Liaise with clients to understand business objectives and provide reliable broking services.
- Provide coverage to clients when team members are unavailable.
- Essential:
Proficient mathematics qualifications at GCSE and/or A‑Levels (minimum). - Demonstrated interest in financial markets and the economy.
- High level of computer competence.
- Hardworking with a willingness to learn.
- Resilient and able to stay effective in high‑pressure environments.
- Ability to build relationships and networks internally and externally.
- Self‑development mindset; curious to learn and grow through formal and informal development channels.
