Associate Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking and Capital Markets (IBCM) business provides the full range of investment banking products and services for large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial sponsors, governments and sovereigns around the world. You will be part of the Infrastructure & Utilities (I&U) team, coordinating and assisting in origination and execution of transactions Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets (M&A, ECM, DCM) with Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA) based clients.

Your responsibilities will include client coverage, valuation and analytical work, supporting on transaction execution and the development of pitchbooks and working closely with the team across multiple live projects.

Your key responsibilities
  • Supporting wider teams in the I&U coverage effort of key EMEA accounts
  • Conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling
  • In both origination and execution projects, taking responsibility to communicate with clients, other advisers and senior investment bankers
  • Helping to develop and mentor staff in the team
Your skills and experience
  • Relevant I&U Corporate Finance experience most importantly in advisory but with knowledge of capital market products
  • Proven execution skills, complex deal understanding and structuring capabilities in M&A with a strong analytical approach combined with creative problem-solving abilities with high levels of initiative and ingenuity, high pro-activity levels and drive
  • Demonstrable technical skills (financial modelling and valuation) supporting deal execution and origination
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills - the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Able to drive and influence senior, cross-functional and cross-regional deal teams, interfacing with multiple business partners across business lines and regions
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively in teams
