Wealth Management Adviser

Location: Regional (multiple branches)

Role Overview

This is a regulated retail financial planning role within a major UK banking group. You’ll provide holistic advice to mass‑affluent clients across pensions, investments and protection, working closely with local branches to generate referrals and deliver high‑quality client outcomes. The role suits advisers who thrive in a structured, compliance‑focused environment and can manage a busy diary while maintaining strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver regulated financial advice across pensions, investments and protection.
  • Conduct full fact‑finds, assess client needs and produce compliant suitability reports.
  • Manage a busy diary of annual reviews, new appointments and follow‑up activity.
  • Build strong relationships with branch colleagues to drive referrals and support local business plans.
  • Provide clear, confident client communication, ensuring advice is understood and aligned to risk tolerance.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all advice meets FCA and internal compliance standards.
  • Use company tools, systems and model portfolios to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with regional managers, paraplanners and support teams.
  • Achieve commercial targets while maintaining excellent client service.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS / DipFA / equivalent).
  • Recent experience delivering regulated retail financial advice.
  • Strong understanding of pensions, investments, protection and tax‑efficient planning.
  • Confident producing suitability reports and managing a regulated advice process.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, structured, compliance‑heavy environment.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to generate and convert referrals.
  • Strong diary management and organisational skills.
  • Experience with in retail banking

Desirable:

  • Experience with in mass‑affluent client segments.
  • CAS / CF30 status.
  • Familiarity with branch‑based operations or referral networks.
