We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Director of Treasury to lead the UK Occupier Client Treasury function supporting the Colliers Global Occupier Services platform. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for the governance, performance and continuous improvement of client treasury operations across a significant portfolio of occupier accounts. The role will ensure the effective management of client funds, banking structures, cash forecasting, payment operations, controls, compliance and treasury risk management on behalf of our clients.
Working closely with Head of Treasury Service and Global Occupier Services leadership, account teams, finance leaders and key client stakeholders, the Director of Treasury will provide strategic direction, operational oversight and treasury expertise while ensuring best-in-class service delivery, regulatory compliance and risk management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the growth of the Occupier Services business, enhancing treasury capabilities and reinforcing our reputation as a trusted advisor to some of the world's leading corporate occupiers.
- Lead the development of the UK Occupier Client Treasury function, ensuring alignment with Global Occupier Services objectives and client requirements.
- Define and implement the strategic roadmap for treasury operations, controls, technology and service delivery.
- Provide leadership and guidance to treasury managers and specialists, fostering a high-performance and client-focused culture.
- Partner with UK and Global leadership teams to support business growth, client retention and new client onboarding.
- Act as the senior treasury advisor for occupier clients and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the management of client monies held across a wide range of occupier accounts.
- Ensure all client funds are managed in accordance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Maintain robust controls over bank account structures, authorisations and cash movements.
- Monitor liquidity requirements across client portfolios and ensure operational funding obligations are met.
- Drive optimisation of cash management processes while maintaining strong governance standards.
- Provide oversight of high-volume payment and receivables operations supporting occupier clients.
- Ensure efficient and controlled processing of supplier payments, landlord payments, tax obligations and other disbursements.
- Establish and monitor Treasury Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational performance metrics.
- Lead operational resilience planning for treasury processes and banking infrastructure.
- Ensure treasury operations support evolving client and business requirements.
- Manage relationships with banking partners supporting UK Client Treasury activities.
- Lead the establishment, rationalisation and governance of client bank account structures.
- Support banking due diligence and onboarding requirements for new client mandates.
- Oversee banking service reviews, fee analysis and service optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with global treasury counterparts on strategic banking initiatives and technology solutions.
- Develop and enhance short, medium and long-term client cash forecasting capabilities.
- Ensure appropriate liquidity management practices are in place across client portfolios.
- Provide actionable insights to account leadership teams regarding cash positions and funding requirements.
- Improve forecasting accuracy through reporting automation and enhanced data analytics.
- Support strategic decision-making through comprehensive treasury reporting and analysis.
- Identify, assess and manage treasury-related risks across client operations, including:
- Liquidity risk
- Operational risk
- Counter party and banking risk
- Payment fraud and cyber risk
- Regulatory and compliance risk
- Ensure robust segregation of duties and treasury control frameworks are maintained.
- Lead treasury governance reviews and control enhancement programmes.
- Support enterprise risk management initiatives relevant to client treasury activities.
- Ensure treasury activities comply with all client contractual obligations, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong governance frameworks for client money management and treasury operations.
- Support internal and external audits relating to treasury activities.
- Ensure treasury policies, procedures and control documentation remain current and fit for purpose.
- Deliver executive-level reporting on treasury performance, risk and compliance matters.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client contacts and act as an ambassador for the Treasury function.
