Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: City of Westminster

As a member of our Customer Fulfilment (CF) Finance team, you will help leaders turn data into insight so we can keep delivering an excellent experience for our customers and find new ways to support them. We are trusted business advisors: we bring a holistic financial perspective and partner with the business to make the best possible decisions. This role gives you a front-row seat to how those decisions are made, and the opportunity to own meaningful analysis, influence outcomes, and grow.

About the Team Customer Fulfilment, or CF, is where it all started for Amazon. From a team of booksellers, CF has scaled into a sophisticated global network that handles millions of orders every day. Our Fulfilment Centres are at the heart of Amazon's fast-paced operations - often called the "First Mile" because it is where most Amazon packages begin their journey.

As CF Finance, we work closely with our Operations partners to ensure leaders have reliable, up-to-date information to take the right decisions. We value the different perspectives, backgrounds and skillsets our people bring - they make us stronger.

Key job responsibilities
  • Build reports and financial models that inform forecasting, planning and problem-solving, and share your analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Dive deep to understand what is driving performance, identify root causes behind variances, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Own recurring financial and operational reporting, ensuring accuracy and providing clear, timely commentary to stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with business partners, use narratives, data and analysis to influence decisions, and challenge assumptions where the data tells a different story.
  • Lead or contribute to projects that scale processes, strengthen controllership, or add value.
  • Simplify and improve: automate processes, reduce defects, and make your deliverables easier for everyone to use.
  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely - both verbally and in writing - including to non-finance partners and senior leaders, even as topics grow more complex.
  • Contribute to the team by building and maintaining tools, SOPs and documentation, sharing knowledge with others, and supporting the onboarding and development of colleagues.
A day in the life

You use data to build reports and financial models that answer difficult business questions. You dive into cost drivers and productivity metrics, and when performance moves away from plan, you look for the story behind the numbers. You sit side by side with your Operations partners, translating data into clear, actionable insight and aligning on the right path forward. You work independently on your own analysis while partnering closely with colleagues across the business.

You will be based in one of our corporate offices and may visit our sites from time to time to ground your analysis in real operational context. No two weeks look exactly the same, and that variety is part of what makes the role rewarding.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field, or experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
  • Experience working with data to drive business decisions, including advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving, or experience in financial modeling, Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another relevant field, or Master's degree (MBA or related discipline)
  • Experience in relevant finance roles, or experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python), or experience working with Excel and large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as Python, SQL, or Tableau
  • Experience working with or evaluating AI systems
  • Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges
  • Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
  • Experience giving skills and communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences across different functions
  • Experience working in a large team or fast-paced corporate environment
