Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting new opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our Risk & Compliance team in London.

What’s the role?

LCP is an authorised professional firm, licensed by the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries for investment business and insurance mediation and authorised and regulated by the FCA for insurance mediation. You will support the Head of Compliance and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in the effective day‑to‑day operation of LCP's Compliance function. The role will deliver a broad range of compliance activity, including monitoring, regulatory change, financial crime prevention, reporting and investment‑related compliance matters.

The role holder will undertake research and analysis, prepare high‑quality drafts of advice and other materials, and support presentations and engagement with the business, working with an appropriate level of supervision and senior review, escalating complex, sensitive or higher‑risk matters as needed.

This is a developmental role for a compliance professional seeking to broaden their expertise and take on increasing responsibility over time. While there are no formal direct reports, the role will provide day‑time guidance and support to Compliance Associates and other less experienced members of the team where appropriate. You will receive support and mentoring from senior members of the team, with opportunities to develop technical knowledge, judgement, stakeholder confidence.

Key Responsibilities: Policy and procedures:
  • Assisting the Head of Compliance with the implementation , ongoing review and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and systems to ensure they are, and remain , fit for purpose
Regulatory change:
  • Monitoring for regulatory change, including FCA and IFoA websites, HMT and external regulatory newsletters to assess impact of future changes
  • Supporting CRCO and Head of Compliance in designing and implementing policies and procedures for any new requirements
Monitoring:
  • Deliver day‑to‑day monitoring activity in accordance with the compliance monitoring programme
  • Plan and undertake allocated thematic, business- area and follow‑up reviews, documenting work performed, findings and recommended actions
  • Maintain complete and up‑to‑date monitoring records, including evidence of the timely completion of agreed remedial actions
  • Coordinate and review monitoring activity undertaken by Compliance Associates where appropriate , providing day‑to‑day support and constructive feedback
  • Escalate significant findings, overdue actions and emerging risks to the Head of Compliance
Advisory:
  • Support the Head of Compliance and senior colleagues in responding to day‑to‑day compliance queries
  • Undertake research and analysis and prepares clear, high‑quality first drafts of advice, guidance and other materials for review and sign‑off by senior members of the Compliance team
  • Build and maintain a practical understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and knows when matters should be escalated
Investment‑related compliance:
  • Support the Head of Compliance and senior colleagues on investment‑related compliance matters, including regulatory research, monitoring, documentation and the preparation of draft advice and communications
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to LCP's investment‑related activities, escalating matters where appropriate
