Our client is looking for a commercially minded Head of Finance to take ownership of the studio's financial engine. The company has experienced rapid growth over the last few years and now needs a bright, motivated mind to take over full operational responsibility for the financial workings of the business.
Working with accountants and bookkeepers, the Head of Finance will provide structure, visibility and control across the studio's finances, collaborating with the senior leadership team to make smart, data-based decisions s is a hands-on role, working closely with producers and commercial leads.
The company sets the bar high creatively, and that expectation reaches beyond into business behind the studio.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Project & Production Finance
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting
- Cashflow & Working Capital
- US Entity Support
- Systems & Processes
Experience required:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- 5+ years in a service business (agency, media and sports preferred)
- Experience in rapid growth environments, ideally with fundraising, debt and/or acquisitions (not necessarily as the no1 in Finance)
- Strong grasp of revenue recognition, WIP and margin control.
- Comfortable owning full management accounts and forecasting cycles.
- Experience improving fi nance systems and operational processes.
- Familiarity with US or international markets, ideally within group structures.
- Technology and systems literate - the aptitude and desire to use technology to drive process and production.
- Confident partnering with founders and commercial leads
