Role
Deputy Director of Finance - Financial Planning and Analysis

Reporting to the Director of Finance and working in partnership with the Finance Leadership Team, this role supports the Director of Finance in delivering the University's financial sustainability objectives through effective financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

The role leads the Financial Planning & Analysis function, providing high‑quality financial insight, modelling and business partnering to support strategic and operational decision making across the University.

The postholder will support the development and continuous improvement of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, costing and pricing methodologies, ensuring decision‑makers have access to accurate, timely and relevant financial information to support the achievement of the University's strategic objectives.

The role will also support the development of robust business cases and investment appraisals to ensure resources are allocated effectively and sustainably.

Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.
