City + Capital are currently representing an established bridging
finance lender that is entering an exciting new phase of growth.
Following the onboarding of new funding lines, the business is
expanding its business development capability and is seeking a
credible BDM to originate lending opportunities across London and
the South of the UK.
Our client is an established name in the space, with a strong
lending track record stretching back more than a decade. The
business takes a commercially minded approach to lending,
supported by strong and flexible funding partnerships that drive
opportunity.
The company has recently secured new funding lines and is
evolving how it deploys its available capital. This creates an
attractive opportunity for an experienced business development
specialist to join at a point when the lender has both the
appetite and resources to grow their loan book.
The team comprises approximately eight people, giving employees
meaningful visibility and influence. The successful candidate
will work closely with the founding partners and wider lending
team rather than operating through a large or heavily layered
infrastructure.
This appointment will strengthen origination capacity, broaden
introducer coverage and support the deployment of available
capital to drive lending growth.
As BDM you will be responsible for generating and converting a
consistent pipeline of good-quality bridging finance
opportunities. You will achieve this by strategically managing
your own diary of appointments and events with brokers and
borrowers.
Ultimately, your objective is to achieve agreed lending targets
for your region which in turn have a huge impact on the lenders
overall success and future growth. This may also be key for your
development within the firm.
You will be ably supported by our client's strong & experienced
team in HQ with aspects such as case management, underwriting,
completions and credit. You will also benefit from direct access
to the board where you can work to influence strategy and
results, whilst also benefit ting from their market knowledge and
insights.
The successful candidate will be a key 'face in the market' for
our client and will also drive reputational growth, wherever
possible.
- Originate good-quality property finance opportunities across
London and the Southeast - Develop new relationships with brokers, introducers and other
relevant market participants - Maintain ownership of broker and introducer relationships
throughout the lending process - Qualify enquiries & maintain an active pipeline of
credible/deliverable transactions - Work closely with the board (flex) on new opportunities, strategies
and commercial opportunities - Represent the lender externally with professionalism &
credibility - Achieved agreed lending targets and objectives
The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in bridging
finance lending and who has a strong and accessible network for
new originations.
You will be proactive in your approach with a demonstrable
lending track record. You will be comfortable working towards
important targets and confident in your ability to achieve
them.
You will be collaborative in approach & happy to work within a
smaller, but growing team.
- Previous experience in short-term property finance lending
- A demonstrate track record of lending performance against
agreed targets - Well-connected to market contacts that will support origination
activity - Excellent communication, relationship-building and
stakeholder-management skills - A proactive, self-motivated approach to delivery
- Comfortable working within a lean, entrepreneurial and
founder-led business
