Associate Director, CRE Loan Servicing, CIB Portfolio Management, 12-month secondment

What you’ll be doing:
This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative and client-facing Loan Servicing team, where you’ll play an important role in managing a portfolio of long-dated Corporate Real Estate loans. As an Associate Director, you’ll support commercial real estate lending provided under a servicing contract with Scottish Widows. You’ll work closely with the lender, Coverage, Execution and Credit Risk teams, as well as external advisers, to maintain strong portfolio performance, manage risk and deliver clear, accurate reporting.

You’ll build trusted relationships with a diverse client base, ranging from privately owned businesses and family offices to FTSE 250 listed companies. You’ll support key events throughout the loan lifecycle, including consent requests, waivers, amendments and annual reviews. You’ll lead the preparation of credit papers, complete financial and credit analysis, monitor emerging risks and work with internal teams and external advisers to support smooth deal delivery.

You’ll also engage directly with clients on lending and risk-related matters, using your analytical skills to strengthen portfolio insight and support informed decision-making.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years credit experience within Corporate Real Estate, including financial analysis and credit risk assessment
  • Experience engaging personally with clients in a Corporate Real Estate lending and credit environment
  • Experience owning the preparation of credit papers, with a sound understanding of Loan Market Association documentation
  • Experience supporting complex loan lifecycle events, including material waivers, amendments and renewals
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including advanced Excel capability, alongside the ability to manage several priorities and communicate effectively with clients and senior stakeholders
