A leading Big 4 advisory firm is continuing to invest in its high-growth Deal Advisory Tax practice and is looking to recruit ambitious Assistant Managers across a number of UK locations. From private equity-backed acquisitions and international restructurings to large corporate mergers and disposals, you'll work alongside some of the industry's leading transaction tax specialists, advising on deals ranging from £10 million to more than £10 billion.

As an Assistant Manager, you'll work alongside Partners, Directors and experienced deal teams to deliver commercially focused tax advice throughout the transaction lifecycle. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of clients including multinational groups, owner-managed businesses, listed companies and private equity investors, helping them navigate complex tax issues while developing your own technical and commercial expertise. This role offers genuine responsibility from day one, with plenty of opportunities to build client relationships, contribute to business development and develop your leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of UK and international M&A tax advisory projects across a wide range of transactions.
- Work closely with Partners and Directors to provide commercially focused tax advice throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Analyse transaction documentation and identify tax risks, opportunities and commercial implications.
- Collaborate with specialists across Corporate Tax, International Tax and overseas member firms to deliver integrated advice.
- Build strong relationships with clients, legal advisers and other stakeholders involved in transactions.
- Contribute to business development activities, proposals and client presentations.
- Coach and support junior team members, helping to develop technical knowledge and best practice.
- Keep up to date with UK and international tax developments, ensuring advice reflects the latest legislation and market trends.
- ACA, CTA, CA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A strong grounding in UK Corporate Tax, with an interest in developing a career in M&A and Transaction Tax.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering work to tight deadlines.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
