Finance Officer

City of London | Hybrid working - 2 days in the office

3-month temporary role

We are working with a respected professional organisation to recruit a Finance Officer on a 3-month temporary basis.

This is a great opportunity for an organised finance professional with strong purchase ledger experience to join a supportive team and play a key role in ensuring supplier payments and financial records are managed accurately and efficiently.

• Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger, including invoice and expense claim processing
• Checking approvals, coding and supporting documentation
• Processing supplier payments in line with agreed payment schedules and terms
• Managing direct debit records and supporting month-end accrual information
• Maintaining supplier records and reviewing changes to supplier details
• Managing the finance inbox and responding to purchase ledger queries
• Building positive relationships with suppliers, employees and internal stakeholders
• Supporting payroll processing where required
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with internal finance controls and data-retention requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience using Sage 200
• Strong Excel, Outlook and Word skills
• A methodical, process-driven approach with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a helpful customer-service approach
• The ability to manage workload independently while working collaboratively with colleagues

This role offers hybrid working, with two days per week based in the organisation’s City of London office.
