Finance Reinvention Partner (Platform Transformation)
This is where a finance-transformation consultant builds the advisory credibility that gets you asked for by name. You'll sit with a client's finance team, work out what is wrong with how they run today, and help design what should replace it: the processes, the finance structure underneath them, and the technology that carries them. You're not tied to one ERP. This is advisory work across the finance-technology landscape, so you'll build a view of what different platforms are good for instead of going deep on one product.
You'll grow quickly, on real programmes, alongside people who design this work for a living. Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients — and Finance is one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that.
Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients — stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control. “Every leader needs to think of themselves as a reinventor. … Being a reinventor is believing that every part of the enterprise and their product has to be reinvented using tech, data, AI—new ways of working, new ways of engaging.” — Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO
Workshops, requirements and problem definition. Much of this role happens in a room with the client. You'll take part in design and discovery workshops and run them yourself as you grow into it. That means preparing the material, getting the right questions asked, keeping a mixed group of finance and technology people to the point, and writing up what was agreed so it holds afterwards.
You gather and structure business requirements, and you define a problem properly before jumping to a solution: what is happening, what it costs the finance function, and what would have to change. You produce clear analysis and options that inform the decisions the lead takes. Finance process design and fit-to-standard. A working knowledge of the core finance processes (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay and Acquire-to-Retire) and real skill in designing and improving them, across general accounting, close and consolidation, external and management reporting, intercompany, finance master data and finance controls.
You contribute to fit-to-standard and fit-gap work, comparing what a client does today against what the target platform and good practice support, then helping turn the result into a process design the business will run. That design closes faster, reports with more confidence, and strengthens control. Enterprise structure and chart of accounts. A working grounding in the finance backbone: legal entities and company codes, ledgers, the controlling and profit‑centre model, cost‑centre and hierarchy design, and the chart of accounts across it.
You're aware of why these decisions shape everything downstream and are expensive to revisit once a programme is moving. You'll gather the reporting and statutory requirements that drive the structure, document how it hangs together, and prepare the options and analysis behind the calls the design lead makes. Platform breadth and conversational fluency. You'll have worked on an enterprise finance platform programme (SAP, Oracle, Workday or a comparable finance platform) and come away understanding how one runs: how a design gets agreed and built, what “standard” means in practice, and why a decision taken early is hard to…
