Guggenheim Securities (“GS”) is seeking an exceptional, experienced Analyst to join its Technology, Media and Telecom (“TMT”) Investment Banking group located in London. Our London-based TMT Investment Banking team is a key part of GS’ TMT practice and leads the coverage and execution of transactions for technology companies. The group advises clients in the technology sector on various financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity/equity‑linked and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and financial investments.
Analysts will join a highly collaborative team responsible for providing M&A advisory and capital raising (equity and fixed income) service and capabilities to corporate clients. GS offers a unique opportunity to work as part of small client teams on major strategic and financing assignments, providing meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. We will provide best‑in‑class Investment Banking training—formal and hands‑on—as you continue to develop your professional toolkit: M&A process management, business acumen, financial analysis, data analysis, soft‑selling and presentation skills, professional communication (verbal, written and virtual), negotiations, and more.
- Prepare and contribute to delivery of client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants
- Assist in the design and development of complex financial models and valuation analysis
- Draft internal and client‑facing documents, including management presentations, lender presentations, fairness opinions, and pitchbooks
- Perform client due diligence, prepare information memoranda and other transaction‑related documentation
- Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools, and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm
- Conduct competitive research, including identifying sector and industry trends
- Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
- Minimum of 2 years of investment banking or equivalent M&A experience
- Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management
- Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Effective process management abilities
- Fluent in any of the following languages:
French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Core modeling and valuation experience in professional setting
- SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment
Currently, this role is expected to be in the London office at least 4 days per week.
