Oliver James are proudly supporting a global re-insurer experiencing significant organic growth with the expansion of their model risk team. This role offers a holistic view of how the business works engaging the models used across departments and product lines. It acts as a great launchpad to explore other teams in the business after 2-3 years in the role.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
- Fully qualified actuary, can consider applicants with 1-2 papers remaining
- Excellent modelling knowledge
- Self motivated and solutions orientated
If you are highly competent with reviewing and developing models, this role could be a great fit for you. The hiring manager is looking for candidates who can come up with creative solutions. There is no one size fits all approach to this role, every model is different and requires investigation and creativity.
