Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Environment Enforcement Lead to lead its environmental enforcement function and support the development of a new integrated enforcement service.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the environmental enforcement team
Provide technical expertise on environmental enforcement policy and legislation
Support the development of a new integrated enforcement service
Ensure enforcement activity is delivered effectively and consistently
Drive service improvements and performance management
Advise senior stakeholders on enforcement matters
Develop policies, procedures and operational standards
Build strong relationships with internal and external partners
Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership

About You:

Experience leading environmental enforcement services within a Local Authority
Strong knowledge of environmental enforcement legislation and policy
Experience managing enforcement teams and service performance
Ability to drive improvement and support service transformation
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working in a politically sensitive environment
